Why warehouse line marking matters
Australia doesn't mandate a single colour code for warehouse floor marking. What WorkSafe Victoria does expect is that businesses control the risk of forklifts and other mobile plant, and separating pedestrians from forklifts is a key control. Line marking is how most sites show that separation: forklift lanes, pedestrian walkways, crossings, and exclusion zones around racking, docks and machinery, backed by physical barriers where the risk is high.

Paint, epoxy or tape?
Paint is the cheapest option and suits light traffic or temporary layouts. Epoxy line marking is harder wearing under forklift traffic and lasts much longer on sealed concrete. Floor tape suits layouts that change often but lifts under heavy wheels. A contractor chooses based on your floor condition, traffic and how long the layout needs to last. Surface preparation, usually grinding or cleaning, makes the biggest difference to how long any of them last.
